On February 4th, Lisa visited the ER with shortness of breath and vomiting. Upon admission to the hospital, she underwent two days of testing, procedures, and monitoring, resulting in a diagnosis of Congestive Heart Failure with plans for triple bypass. Lisa was transferred to Arkansas Heart Hospital with an initial treatment plan to support her through her acute sickness and build her strength for surgery. As her initial surgery date approached, Lisa developed pneumonia and went into septic shock, resulting in her being placed on a ventilator for 2 days. Lisa is still admitted to the hospital with a long road ahead of her. Due to the medical complications she has experienced during the last few weeks, her timetable for work is uncertain. These circumstances and a hospital admission this long have led to a significant financial burden. Lisa is always taking care of everyone and is never the type to ask for help. We’ve been overwhelmingly touched by everyone who has reached out to us asking how they can support our mom. At this point, we felt this was the best way we could provide that resource to those wanting to provide her some support. Any support is greatly appreciated. We’ll never be able to express to you all how thankful we are for everyone who cares for our mom. We continue to ask for prayers over our mom's health and the doctors, nurses, and care team as they navigate the complexity of her situation. She is as tough as they come and knows God has his hands on her.
