Hello all!

My name is Elizabeth Anderson, and I am here to raise money for my mom's Lyme's disease treatments. I've never done a GoFundMe before and am not quite sure what to say or where to start. I guess I'll start by introducing my mother, Lisa Anderson. My mother is hard-working, empathetic, beautiful. She's always been the resident cheerleader in our family encouraging those around her and now she could use our encouragement.

For my entire life, my mother has been sick. Growing up it was headaches, body aches, undefined and undistinguishable ailments inflicted on her body. I have seen her go to numerous doctors all going in different routes, promising results than didn't pan out. We heard she had fibromyalgia, hyper-thyroidism, heavy metal poisoning. And then she received the news that she was infected with Lyme's disease.

Lyme's disease causes joint and body pain affecting people's neurological systems. It leads to long-term chronic fatigue and migraines if left untreated. My mother has been fighting with Lyme's disease for 30+ years. In the past few years, my mother has found a strong community of trained professionals helping her with her Lyme's disease as well as helping her in treating some long, unmanaged dental work, as that has been equally attributing to her pain.

Growing up, I would wonder why mom would have to eat different foods than I would eat. Why she couldn't have the same junk food as me. Why she would be crying and going to the hospital. Why she was on so many supplements. Why she prayed so hard so often. As I got older, it became a thing that my family understood, mom had undefined health problems.

We hoped and prayed that a doctor would help her or she would be miraculously healed. My family and I would consistently encourage and uplift her telling her that she wouldn't be sick forever, and that this pain would pass.

Since mid-February, my mother has been undergoing highly intensive treatments for Lyme's disease and as of two weeks ago, my mother had a very serious dental surgery pulling infected teeth. Infected teeth that were on their way to spreading infection all throughout her body. With the great team of LifeWorks Clinic in Clearwater, FL, Lisa my mother is starting to see promising results.

This journey has been a long and costly one. The treatments my mother is undergoing cost anywhere from $20,000-$40,000. I am here raising money for those treatments. Anything anyone could give would be greatly appreciated or even just something to remind Lisa that she has a community. It's with community that we manage to survive in this scary world.

I can't tell you how many times my mother has dropped everything, laid down her life, and been there for me when I needed her to. Most people who know her, know this to be true. And that's why I am here, to be there for my mother. We are thankful to the Lord for bringing this treatment center into my mother's life. We are so thankful to all of you, for reading, relating, donating or even reaching out.

Your kindness is something that touches us in unspeakable ways. You all really are the answer to our prayers. The promise other doctors couldn't deliver on. Now when I tell my mom, "You are gonna get better!" It's with a new reverence. Thank you for making that possible. It's time we cheer on our resident cheerleader and send some love Lisa's way.
