Many of you know me as “Mrs. A,” the art teacher at Immaculate Conception for the past ten years. Teaching art has been my passion for over twenty years, and I poured my heart into inspiring creativity, joy, and self-expression in my students. This past summer, I made the difficult but exciting decision to step away from teaching to follow my dreams—pursuing my art, intuitive work, and building a new business that reflects my spiritual path.
What I never expected was that just as I was stepping into this new chapter, my health would take a drastic turn. What started as a small, manageable pain suddenly spiraled into something debilitating. Since New Year’s Eve, I’ve been in a whirlwind of doctor’s visits, tests, treatments, and trying to find answers. After weeks of uncertainty and excruciating pain, I finally received a diagnosis—but with it came a flood of unexpected medical costs that insurance doesn’t fully cover.
From ER visits, MRIs, and X-rays to acupuncture, trigger pt. massage, TMS therapy, physical therapy, steroid injections, and other treatments, the expenses have been overwhelming. On top of that, I haven’t been able to work due to the severity of my condition, making it even harder to stay afloat.
I’m reaching out with deep humility and gratitude to ask for support during this incredibly challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, would help ease the financial burden of these mounting medical bills and allow me to focus on healing—without the added stress that only makes things worse. My family and I would be beyond grateful for any help, whether through a donation or simply by sharing this with others.
For those who know me, you know I’ve always been full of energy, constantly creating, teaching, and sharing my passion. It’s been incredibly difficult to suddenly find myself unable to do the things that bring me so much joy. This experience has been humbling, but I’m holding onto hope and trusting in the love and support of my community.
With love and gratitude,
Lisa
