Help Lisa Fight for Her Life as She Awaits a Liver Transplant

Lisa Kitzberger is a wife, mom of three, and nana of three with one more grandbaby on the way. She is the wife of an Army combat veteran, and the proud mom of two daughters and a son who served as a Marine and is now disabled from his service. Service and sacrifice run deep in our family, but now, Lisa needs your support.

For more than 20 years, Lisa has been living with lupus. After decades of fighting through flare-ups, pain, and fatigue, her health has taken a devastating turn. Lisa now suffers from cirrhosis of the liver and is in liver failure. Lisa’s biggest wish is to be able to be around to watch her grandchildren grow.

These past 6 months have been the hardest battle for her life. Since November, Lisa has been in and out of the hospital numerous times. She has undergone multiple surgeries, including procedures to relieve severe ascites (fluid buildup in her abdomen), a TIPS procedure (a liver stent to help improve blood flow), and an abdominal hernia repair surgery. Complications from her cirrhosis also caused her to fall, resulting in a broken jaw that required treatment on top of everything else she was already enduring.

Now, Lisa is waiting for a liver transplant.

The physical and emotional toll have been heavy, and the financial strain grows every day. Between repeated hospital stays, surgeries, medications, and the ongoing specialized care required as she waits for a transplant, the bills continue to pile up.
