My name is Christy! I am starting this GoFundMe to help my sister, Lisa. She was diagnosed in August, a month after our mother died, with Stage 3 esophageal cancer. At the end of this month, her health insurance ends and none of her doctors take Virginia Medicaid.

We have the option to change doctors, but it will then be a 2-hour drive for her to get the care she needs. She is already going to Winston-Salem and struggles with that ride already. She will be having a major surgery after all her chemo is over to repair and replace her esophagus.
