In September 2024, after a 40-day hospital stay, Lisa was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. Since then, she has been fighting as hard as she possibly can through three different types of treatment, even though none of them have worked. Despite everything she has already endured, the cancer spread to her stomach lining and progressed to stage 4. In February, Lisa’s husband suddenly passed away, adding another heartbreaking loss while she was already in the middle of this battle. Her son, Connor, has since taken on the role of primary caregiver. Now, after another recent hospitalization, a head CT and MRI revealed 9 tumors and lesions on Lisa’s brain, showing that the cancer has spread even further. Neurosurgery and radiation are now the next steps in her fight, and through it all, Lisa continues to show just how strong and determined she is.
Lisa is a mother, grandmother, best friend, and the rock of her family. She has been fighting every step of the way, and this fundraiser is to help ease some of the heavy burden she and her loved ones are carrying. Donations will help with Lisa’s daily care, travel costs for treatments, and living expenses during this incredibly difficult time. More than anything, Lisa’s family wants to focus on taking care of her, being by her side, and spending as much time with her as possible without having to worry about every cost along the way. Shyanne, Connor, Courtney, and Lisa’s grandkids are deeply grateful for any support. If donating is not possible, please consider sharing this fundraiser and praying for Lisa. Every act of kindness means so much as Lisa and her family face the days ahead together.
