My name is Lisa. I have two kids with multiple special needs…Hailey is 16 and William is 14. I’m a single mom who can’t work outside the home due to my kids’ special needs. Hailey has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, developmental delays, hearing loss and a feeding tube. She is also beginning to show signs of mental health issues. William has autism and mental health issues. Recently we started having issues with our electricity and after having the fire department and PSEG here, we had to hire an electrician. There is also a problem with our tankless hot water heater so I need a plumber as well. The electricians charged me $1675 but our power issues have not been fixed so I need them to come back today. I also have a plumber coming out today to give us an estimate, so I don’t know yet how much that will cost. We currently have very spotty electricity and no hot water. I don’t have credit cards or any other way to pay for all of this so here I am. I struggle with asking for help so this was a really difficult thing for me to do.
