Funding my last semester of college!

Hi! My name is Lisa Ligard and I have lived on the mission field for nearly six years. I live in Kenya and want to start a digital marketing company here in Nairobi, Kenya. I went to school here in Kenya and online after Covid. After graduating from High School, I studied at Rhema Bible Training Center in Kenya and went to online school at Liberty University. I completed over 100 credit hours online and now need to finish my degree (19 credit hours left) in Virginia. Originally, I’m from Norway and the U.S. and have lived and worked in both places. However, due to my visa and immigration status in Kenya, I am not allowed to work to raise money for school tuition and travel expenses. That’s why I’m asking for YOUR help, to get me there.

Why not just finish online? While online university was an amazing opportunity for me to study online and go to Bible school at the same time, there are certain elements that are missing. There are no final exams, no group projects, no internships and no environment of students around me. Going to the U.S. to finish my degree would give me the opportunity to experience all of these things. Out of it, I would be able to do internships through their marketing/business program, network with like-minded people, make lasting connections and use the knowledge I’m given practically everyday. My goal is to bring back everything I learn and start digital marketing here in Kenya.

I’m studying Marketing with an emphasis on sales, and fully believe that an in-person experience will make me more prepared!
