Support Lisa's Comfort and Care

My name is Charles Keith Abert, a disabled veteran (22.5 active years and 35 years of service) with TBI and PTSD, who is fully retired. My wife Lisa and I have raised nine kids; three are biologically ours, the others are from family that could not or did not raise them. We have been married for 32 years and going strong, but in 2011, my wife started having medical issues. It took several years and specialists to find out what was going on, but finally, Small Fiber Neuropathy was diagnosed along with several other issues that have come from it. Lisa has been the backbone of the household, raising the kids, attending medical appointments, working, going to college, taking the kids to all the after-school activities, and taking them on summer trips while Dad worked. Now, just taking a shower is a major task that wipes her out for a few days. Going to a medical appointment wipes her out. Going to a school event now doesn’t happen because of the pain that she doesn’t want to go through or she is having a bad day. We can never make plans because she never knows how she is going to feel from one moment to another. To have a family meal, we have to come to the bedroom and eat around the bed. She is a fighter. I have back issues along with other injuries from serving that limit physically how much I can do, but I manage.

We are needing to upgrade her Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed, preferably one that has heat and massage, which helps her out on a regular basis. We have a few heating pads that have massaging elements in them. Our shower needs a bench put in it, but it’s tile, so we will need to install that. She needs furniture in the room that is easy to adjust and move for her with her disabilities. Her day consists of watching a lot of YouTube people like SB Mowing, HoofGP, Lawncare Juggernaut, Flawless Cleaning, The Detail Geek, Charlotte Dobre, Midlife Stockman, BeardmeatsFood, Katina Eats Kilos, Everything Autos, TK Lawns, Randy Santel, John’s Furniture Repair, Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, Blessing Boys, Life with Al Bladez, SB Pressure Washing, Bigdaddyleo, Blade Mate Lawn Care, Dr. Phil, CJ Mowing, and more. My point is she lays in bed in pain but tries to numb her mind to get rid of the pain.

Just trying to make her as comfortable as possible while she is still on this earth. She is my best friend and love of my life. Thank you in advance for any and all help.
