On April 3rd, 2026 our mom went in to have a routine outpatient surgery that unexpectedly lead to life threatening complications.

Her recovery has been challenging and far longer than originally anticipated. She is currently still in the hospital and will continue to require full time care and multiple therapies to help her get back on her feet again. Our stepfather is her primary caregiver dedicating all of his time to aid in her healing, which means he is unable to work for the foreseeable future. With no household income, the financial strain is quickly building.
