On Friday, April 18th, 2025, my mother, Lisa Swain, passed away unexpectedly. Despite her recent knee surgery, she was in fairly good health.

JB and I were determined to honor her by paying for her funeral and service ourselves until we found out today that payment plans aren't an option. We want her buried with her parents at Hamilton Gardens. They're holding her body until we have the money in full.

This has led me to do something I never do, and never wanted to do, and that is ask for help. Cremation is an option, and a cheaper one at that, but it's not what we want for her. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to cover the cost of her casket, visitation, and burial. If we can't meet that goal, our next option is cremation and service, which will be more like $7,000.
