Support Lisa Satterfield's Final Journey
Donation protected
How does one take a lifetime of memories and living and condense all those years down to fit into a biography on paper? It’s nearly impossible to do so, yet here I sit attempting to do just that. Lisa R. Satterfield, born October 12th, 1964, to Herman and Cyndora Green. Mother of 5, Grandmother of 12, Sister of 2 brothers and 3 sisters, and beloved of MANY! To me, Lisa is Mom. Mom has suffered from MANY medical conditions over the last few years that have made her quality of life less than desirable. Currently, she is suffering something awful from COPD. Mom is currently in Stage 4 of COPD which, if you know, is the final end stage of this disease. Mom is suffering from severe loss of lung capacity, kidney failure, and extremely high CO2 blood saturation. The effects of COPD are unstoppable and irreversible, and because of this, we have arrived here. Hospice has informed us that my mother is currently in her “Transition” phase of life; her body is tired and cannot sustain life much longer. As her final moments approach, our family is doing its best to make sure that her last moments are not spent alone. It’s at this time that I’ve been tasked with making arrangements for moving forward, and as much as I do not want to think about what comes next, I have no choice but to do just that. As we all know, the cost of death is expensive! Mom doesn’t have any type of life insurance or financial assistance for such things in place. So with that, I am calling on all of her friends and family, our friends and family, for help. ANYTHING and EVERYTHING HELPS! If a donation is outside of the realm of possibility for you, then I simply ask that you help our family by sharing this page and sending lots of love, prayers, and support our way! We have absolutely no way of knowing when the end will come and can only go based off what the doctors and nurses tell us, and they’re telling us that the end is here! I am currently working on finding the right funeral home to handle my mother’s service(s). Once I’ve completed that process, this account will be turned over to them, and all donations and proceeds will be handled by them in directly taking care of the expenses for my mother’s funeral, burial, and headstone. My family and I would like to thank all of you in advance for your donations, love, and support during my mother’s final hours. Details of the funeral home and services will be announced as soon as arrangements are in place.
EDITED: We have decided to bring mom home for her final hours. Mom has never wanted to leave this life from a Nursing Home. It’s always been her wish that she go from home and surrounded by loved ones, so we are trying to make that request a reality! Thanks again for all the love and support ❤️
Sincerely, The Stover, Green Family ❤️
