Lisa Ryan, my niece, is facing unimaginable loss and hardship. On December 5th, Lisa lost her beloved mom, Joy Elaine Parini (Ryan), to a sudden brain aneurysm. This tragedy comes just months after the passing of her brother, Sean Ryan, who died of a heart attack in June. The weight of this grief is almost unbearable, and now Lisa and her brother Lenny are left to pick up the pieces and manage the many responsibilities that come with such loss.

Lisa is currently unable to access the small amount of money left in her mom's account until the Probate Court process is complete. In the meantime, she is responsible for paying the mortgage on her mom's home, covering outstanding medical bills, and arranging for her mom's burial. The financial burden, on top of the emotional pain, is overwhelming for Lisa. She is doing her best to care for her family and honor her mom's memory, but the costs are more than she can manage alone.
