Lisa Ruiz Pratt was the eldest of seven children. She was the second mom. The fierce protector. The ultimate big sister. She was also a loving mother to four children, a nurturing foster mom to one, and a proud grandmother to seven. She was an adoring daughter, a devoted wife, and a loyal friend. Generous in nature, Lisa would give the shirt off her back if she had to.
She was a California girl living in Arizona with her husband and youngest daughter. She had been planning a visit to her home state for Christmas and had already bought their plane tickets. She longed to be with family and especially wanted to see her children and grandchildren. It had been years since she was with them for Christmas.
Our family is reeling from her sudden passing on December 2, and no words can express the emotions running through all of us at this time. She was only 62 and so full of life.
In recent years, she found her way back to Jesus and had peace again. In her final moments, she was listening to worship music, and with her last breath was praising the LORD until He took her home.
Now, she is with our youngest brother who left us in 2021. I imagine them running on a sandy shore, laughing and searching for seashells in Paradise. They both loved the beach more than any of us. They have joined our other brother and sister who went to Heaven as infants and together they are waiting for us.
We are so grateful for your prayers during this time. We are asking for help with her funeral expenses and are thankful for any support.
God bless you. Please hold your loved ones tight this Christmas.
