There are moments in life that call us to come together to lift someone up, to stand in the gap, and to be a source of strength when the weight is simply too heavy to carry alone.

Today, I’m asking you to join me in doing just that for my first cousin, Lisa Miller.

Lisa is a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a woman whose love has always been felt deeply by those around her. She has spent her life caring for others, showing up with kindness, faith, and quiet strength. Now, she is facing the biggest fight of her life: a battle with bladder cancer.

As Lisa courageously walks through treatment, she is not only confronting the physical and emotional toll of cancer, but also an overwhelming financial burden. Due to her condition, Lisa has been unable to work and has been without income since November. She is currently waiting for a final decision on her disability benefits, but as many know, that process can take time with each state handling the process differently.

In the meantime, the bills do not pause.

Basic needs like housing, transportation to medical appointments, and daily living expenses continue to grow, all while she has no steady income to rely on. Lisa has exhausted emergency resources through her city and state along with temporary assistance from her church community. All financial streams have run dry at this point. This is a heavy burden for anyone, especially someone already fighting for their health.

We believe in a God who provides, who comforts, and who moves through people. This is one of those moments where we can be the hands and feet of that provision.

I am starting this GoFundMe to support Lisa during this difficult season with the hope to help ease the financial strain so she can focus on what truly matters: healing, resting, and fighting with all the strength she has.
