After a persistent cough and shortness of breath, scans in January showed that Lisa had a 14 x 10 centimeter mass between her heart and lungs along with a large pericardial effusion, leading to a diagnosis of T lymphoblastic lymphoma, a rare and aggressive disease for which intensive and ongoing chemotherapy will be needed. Treatment is predicted to take up to 1.5 years with weekly trips to Omaha.
Our goal is to raise $35,000 to cover the expected out of pocket/out of network medical expenses along with transport over the 1.5 year treatment period.
Lisa’s Hematologist at UNMC Buffett Cancer Center sees no more than a few cases of this cancer each year. The care will be intensive and also out of Lisa's insurance network.
Lisa is a wife to Brandon, a mother to Brooks and Briggs, and a kind and caring person. Doctors say her prognosis is good with the right treatment. Let's support her in this journey.
