Support Lisa During Her Medical Crisis
The Pulmonary Medicine Unit (Covid Unit) at Edward Hospital asks that you help us in supporting our beloved coworker and friend, Lisa.
Lisa has been a nurse and a leader on this unit for fifteen years. She is compassionate, intelligent and a role model to all. Lisa exemplifies the gold standard of nursing. Her patients and coworkers love her. In fact, we consider her to be family. Lisa has worked tirelessly since the beginning of the pandemic to care for covid patients, putting herself at risk despite her own health challenges. Lisa has taken care of so many, and now it’s time for us to take care of her.
In April 2021 while at work, Lisa began experiencing a medical crisis. She had to go to the emergency room, was admitted to the hospital where she underwent emergent surgeries. She was then on medical leave all summer. She was cleared to come back to work in August, but just received news from the doctor that her medical problem is worse, and she will need to undergo another surgery and be off work again. Lisa is the breadwinner for her family and is therefore under significant stress.
Please join us in alleviating the financial stress for Lisa, so that she can focus on her surgery and recovery.
Let’s show Lisa the same selfless love and care that she has shown to so many throughout her career, and especially throughout the pandemic.
If you or a loved one has recovered from covid, this is a great way to give back and show your appreciation for the people who cared for you.
Anything will help- please join us in helping Lisa!
