Through her unwavering dedication to TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) initiatives, expert colony care, and adoptions, Lisa has improved the lives of countless cats in Oak Cliff. But her compassion doesn’t stop there. Every week, neighbors bring her injured or sick animals—strays hit by cars, kittens suffering from illness, or beloved pets in need of emergency care. Lisa never turns them away! She makes sure every single animal gets the medical attention they need, even when it means paying out of her own pocket.

Lisa’s big heart and commitment have come at a steep cost. Cats in The Cliff operates solely on donations, and the influx of sick and injured animals has pushed Lisa into more than $8,000 of personal credit card debt. This is the cost of kindness: emergency veterinary visits, surgeries, medications, and supplies—all necessary to save lives.
