A dedicated CNA in our community, Lisa Del Prete, was injured after being assaulted while caring for a patient at work. As she continues treatment and recovery, she has exhausted her light duty work options and must transition to a medical leave of absence. This has resulted in unforeseen challenges, including a significant reduction in income. At the same time, she faces ongoing travel expenses for medical appointments and other recovery-centered costs.
