We are sincerely thankful that you are interested in our story!

We're Lisa & Ariella, two hard working women, from Phoenix, Arizona USA deeply passionate about helping animals in need. We are a purely voluntary self-funded rescue and we work in our spare time around work and family commitments to rescue any cat or kitten that needs help.

In the downtown area of Phoenix, where Lisa works, you will come across stray animals on nearly every street. Most of them face various challenges due to lack of shelter, limited access to food and water, spread of viral diseases, inadequate veterinary care and the list goes on.

What the Funds Are For:

We are struggling to find public monetary resources at Second Chance Kitten Rescue, to support our mission and keep our doors opened. Any funds received will be used for the cost of medical care, kitten formula, canned + wet food, litter, cleaning supplies, blankets, and more, which are a tremendous pressure on our personal financial resources.

Who We Are:

Second Chance Kitten rescue is a ‘not for profit’, voluntary organization. To date we have TNRd, and rehomed over 400 cats/kittens and currently have over thirty in our care.

Our Story:

Back in 2019, Lisa & Ariella took in their first rescue kitten named, Roxie without knowing where that journey would take them. This abandoned kitten, who was faced with being homeless and scared on the streets, all alone, unless she received medical care and a home could be found. Roxie would be the first of many fur babies to find comfort and hope in their care.

So, after several years of trapping & releasing and caring for the health of hundreds of cats/kittens, Second Chance Kitten Rescue was born in 2024, with the goal of being approved for our 501c3. However, applications take up to 6 months for approval; ours is pending. With lots of hard work, long hours and hundreds of rescues later Lisa & Ariella now face their biggest battle yet – to SAVE OUR RESCUE.
