If you know Linsie, you already know this: she's hilarious, kind, generous, and the light of every room she walks into. If you don't know her, you're about to meet someone special.
She shows up. Big or small moments, if you need her, she’s there.
And now? She needs us.
Six years ago, Linsie had a mole removed that turned out to be Stage 3 Melanoma. It was terrifying, but she fought through it with courage and grace. The doctors removed a mole and lymph nodes from her armpit. She was told they caught it early, but that there was a chance tiny cells had slipped through undetected. After years of clean scans, she was able to exhale: she was cancer-free!
Life could start again, Linsie found the love of her life, Justin, and this past August they tied the knot, blending their beautiful family of five. Everything was falling into place.
Then came the cough.
Persistent. Nagging. And eventually, devastating words no one wants to hear again, Stage 4 Melanoma. It spread to her lungs, lymph nodes, and ovaries.
It’s hard to put into words how heavy this news has been. But if anyone can take on the fight of her life, it’s Linsie.
She started immunotherapy: two powerful drugs every three weeks, four total rounds. Just one week in, a new complication hit, vision loss, this required another specialist, and another fight.
Now, she’s completed the first round of treatments, and the cough that once disappeared... is back. Doctors have prescribed steroids in hopes it’s just bronchitis. But for now, we wait, and pray it isn't another setback. Her critical follow-up scans on are July 11th.
Through it all, Justin has been Linsie's rock. But he’s been through his own storm, too. After a serious back injury at work, he underwent surgery and received a stimulus implant to relieve the nerve pain in his back. While the surgery helped his back, he was put in a position that pinched a nerve in his elbow causing numbness in his hand, which required yet another surgery. He was unable to work for seven weeks, and was under strict medical limitations as he healed.
It is all too much.
This GoFundMe is our way to show up for Linsie like she’s shown up for so many of us. To lift some of that weight. To let her focus on what truly matters...healing, loving her family, and kicking cancer's ass, FOR GOOD!
Whether you’re able to donate financially or not, your support matters.
Your prayers, kind words, and positive energy mean the world.
Let’s show Linsie just how fiercely she’s loved.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
