Dear friends,
As we all mourn the passing of our beloved friend Lino Diyadi Momo, I would like to share a little bit about Lino. He was born in a small village called Achano in South Sudan in 1979. Lino was a former Lost Boy of Sudan who traveled a thousand miles from South Sudan to Ethiopia. His journey, like many of the Lost Boys, was fraught with dangerous forests and life adversities. Yet, Lino's resilience, kindness, and unwavering optimism shone through. His life was a testament to the strength of the human spirit. Lino was a loving man to be around. He loved making jokes and befriending everyone he met.
In 2005, Lino arrived in the United States, a testament to his resilience and determination. Settling in Atlanta, Georgia, he faced a new challenge, but he managed to work and study, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in visual design communications. But in early March of 2023, he was diagnosed with cancer. Despite this, he remained strong for two years and passed on Thursday, in Redding, California, peacefully at home with his wife and her family holding his hands.
For friends and family members who want to show their support, we have created this donation page to help cover the memorial services. We are deeply grateful for the support we've received so far. I would greatly appreciate any amount you donate. Thank you all in Advance, and let's keep Lino's family prayers.
