Hello everyone! Seth and I are in a time of need at the moment, and we would never think to ask for donations unless it was a life or death situation.
This is our boy Link, short for Linkon Gladious, our little warrior. We took him in as a stray when he was only a few weeks old, bathed him, litter trained him, flea treated him and nursed him back to health. Months later, he is full of life and has as more personality than anyone could imagine for a cat.
Unfortunately, he is still a cat who does cat things. While Seth and I were in the shower this morning (November 15th), he jumped and climbed his way to my yarn stash (which was far out of his reach, and as any cat parent know, it’s never far enough when they’re persistent) and ate what we think to be about half of a small skein. He was rushed to the nearest emergency vet open in Pittsburgh and there they confirmed our worst fear; he ate more yarn than we thought and had to be admitted for emergency surgery.
The total for the surgery was estimated to be around $9,000, and I know that I’d be shooting for the stars to hope for even half of that amount to be fundraised, but in all honesty we’re just looking for some help more than anything. I will be doing as much as I can to raise funds as well, such as running in shop sales for my physical merchandise and flash tattoo sales. He is about to go into surgery currently (November 15th, 6PM) and we will be sharing updates as we receive them. Truly any amount helps, even just keeping our special little guy in your thoughts and sharing positive words is beyond helpful as we are two stressed parents of the most precious fur baby. Thank you for taking the time to read and share if possible
