On April 15, 2025, a beautiful bay colt named Lindy Bug was born—a spirited young horse with bright eyes, a curious heart, and a personality that instantly wins over everyone he meets. From the very beginning, Lindy Bug showed all the signs of growing into something special: strong, kind, and eager to connect.

He is the proud colt of Thunderbolt and Clara’s Glory, and he’s already living up to his lineage—growing tall, strong, and full of promise.

Lindy Bug’s journey took a meaningful turn when he was purchased at auction and generously donated to the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team. The dream was simple but powerful: that one day, this sweet colt would grow into a confident, graceful drill pony—part of a team that brings joy, discipline, and tradition to so many. And he is absolutely loved.

But shortly after arriving at his new home, during a routine veterinary check, Lindy Bug was diagnosed with a hernia—a condition he’s had since the time of purchase. While he continues to grow and thrive in spirit, this condition requires surgical correction to ensure he can live a healthy, active life and fulfill his future as a drill pony.

The cost of the operation is $3,000—a significant expense, but one that will give Lindy Bug the chance he deserves.
