Lindsey, my 34-year-old daughter, was struck by a car while crossing a busy street in California. The accident left her with severe injuries, including broken bones from her head to her toe. She suffered fractures to her orbital floor, both scapulas, several ribs, her hand and wrist, pelvis, tibia, ankle, knee cap, and even lost a molar. All of the damage is on the right side of her body. So far, Lindsey has undergone surgeries for her pelvis and tibia, with a rod now pinning her pelvis together. She has multiple staples and stitches throughout her right side, as well as staples in her left elbow, and faces a long and challenging road to recovery. To make matters even more difficult, Lindsey is uninsured, which means the financial burden of her care is overwhelming.

Despite everything, Lindsey is very alert. She is in a lot of pain, but she’s still trying to find humor in her situation and keep her spirits up. Her resilience and determination are truly inspiring, and she continues to bring light to those around her, even in the hardest moments.

These funds will help Lindsey offset some of the climbing medical bills and pay for care after she is released from the hospital. She will need ongoing support for rehabilitation, daily living expenses, and future medical needs as she works toward healing. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in her journey.
