Support Lindsey and Jasper's Healing Journey
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
Let me start by saying how difficult and humbling this is for us to post, but Lindsey could use some help. As most of you know, she started her life over, alone, 6 months ago. At that time she rescued Jasper from the shelter she works at because he was so scared, he wouldn't have made it there. Well, little did we know, Jasper actually rescued Lindsey at one of the most difficult times in her life.
Sadly, this week, Jasper got sick and was taken to an emergency vet downriver who grossly under diagnosed him without so much as xrays or bloodwork. Fast forward a day or so and Jasper severely declined, losing 2.6 pounds in 6 days, which is not much on a Dashaund! He wasn't eating, playing, or cuddling, so Lindsey took him up to Wilson's Vet where they saved his life. Turns out he has a bladder stone, UTI, abnormal prostate, and a herniated bladder, on top of the original diagnosis of a perineal hernia. He's so ill that Wilson's had to stabilize him before they could talk about a treatment course. Japser's vet bill is quickly approaching $5000.00 and Lindsey is just not in a position to cover these expenses after moving out on her own, being given back a car that required $2,000 in repairs, and having some of her own medical bills accruing.
Lindsey is trying her very best to manage life's curve balls, and even said she'll eat Ramen Noodles for the rest of her life to save Jasper, but I thought maybe we could all help her! Every dollar helps at this point. Jasper will be having his first round of surgery in the next few days, just to stabilize him, but will require a second surgery to fix the perineal hernia as long as his biopsy comes back clear.
Please consider a donation, a share, and a prayer! If you'd rather not donate through GFM, you can call Wilson's and make a payment toward the care of Jasper Watkins.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
