Hi, we’re Lindsey and Dru!

I’m an elementary ESL teacher, and Dru teaches middle school social studies. We met about four years ago and got married in January 2024. We’re passionate about our jobs as teachers, and we try to bring that same joy and energy into everything we do, whether it’s traveling, playing board games, or spending time with our amazing circle of family and friends.

One of our greatest hopes has always been to build a family of our own. After nearly a year of trying to conceive, we were referred to a fertility specialist. After undergoing a full round of tests, we learned that I have a low ovarian reserve and PCOS—conditions that significantly reduce our chances of conceiving naturally. Our doctor told us that IVF is likely our best and possibly only chance to have a biological child together.

Unfortunately, IVF isn’t covered by our insurance, and the cost is far beyond what we can manage on our own (about $16,000 plus $5,000+ more for medications) while still being able to support the future child we’re longing to bring into our lives. We’ve found a highly reputable clinic in Prague where the treatment is more affordable than in the U.S., but between the procedure and international travel, the financial burden is still significant.

This is why we’re reaching out—to ask for support as we pursue the chance to grow our family. Every little bit helps bring us one step closer to becoming parents. We are deeply grateful for any kindness, generosity, or encouragement you can offer as we take this next step.
