Update: My name is Christine and I started this fundraiser for my daughter Lindsay and her 3 children. Lindsay has been a Type 1 diabetic since the age of 2 and at 42, she has some serious complications. In July, her ex-husband took temporary custody of the children and then took them out-of-state illegally. She is now in a battle with the courts to get them returned to California.

Due to an injury in December 2023, she has been unable to work, causing financial stress. Her youngest child is on the Autism Spectrum and needs special care. The ex is wealthy and has hired a team of lawyers to fight the return of the children, even though he had not seen them regularly prior to taking them.

My daughter had surgery on August 22, 2024. It went well and she is currently in PT and OT but it's a long recovery. The children are still asking us to bring them home and we can't tell them why we can't just go and get them. It's heartbreaking. They have been with Lindsay their whole lives and the loss for her is unbearable. Lindsay needs legal counsel to help bring her children back to the family and friends they have grown up with their whole lives, and who love and miss them terribly.
