Zachary Thomas Self, a long time sufferer of Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy, has passed on after fighting for 38 years. His upcoming birthday on Jan. 4th, 2025, would have been his 39th. He battled the disease with a brave heart and never quit no matter what he had to face. All he ever wanted was to give and be able to help others. His dream was to better the world at any cost.

As there is no life insurance for anyone suffering with Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy, the family is in dire need of support to fund the memorial and all costs related to that. They also lost over half their income with the passing of Zack since the state was paying his mother to take care of him, and Zack‘s own income has stopped. His sister had to quit her job in order to come to the family side and see Zack so she is also without income.

Zack selflessly held on to Hope to prevent the pain and burden his family now faces and gave his all to try to prevent it.
