Support Lindsay and Son After Jason's Tragic Loss

Hello, my name is Aaron Johnson, a long-time professional friend and colleague of Jason Cliett. I am reposting Jason's story written by his wife, Lindsay, and posted on LinkedIn (please see below). This is a tragic story of Jason being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and dying in just a few short months. At 47 years old, Jason left behind his wife and 8-year-old son. We are raising funds for Lindsay and her son to be used for personal expenses during this time of mourning and loss.

This is Lindsay, Jason’s wife -

Just before Christmas Jason got the call no one wants to get—he had cancer. Four biopsies and and an excruciatingly long wait later, the news was worse. It was a rare, aggressive cancer called angiosarcoma that comes with a poor prognosis.

For the past 12 weeks, Jason toughed it out, enduring flu and pneumonia on top of the chemo and radiation. But a few weeks ago the cancer had spread too far and treatment was off the table, so the hospital made him comfortable.

He passed away a week ago, on March 7th. In the week leading up to his death, messages poured in from friends and colleagues. He was loved for his kindness, sense of humor, hard work, willingness to overcome challenges without complaints.

He will be sorely missed by his colleagues at SAM (who kept paying him through his treatment, giving us an enormous amount of peace of mind), former colleagues and friends, and family, including myself and our 8-year-old son.
