From Katie~ Linda's Granddaughter

On the evening of June 27th 2025 my grandma (Linda Panozzo) was walking across the road to check her mailbox when she was hit by a pickup truck traveling at 55 mph. She was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital where she was then admitted to ICU. She endured many injuries including multiple skull fractures, brain bleeds, broken orbital bone, broken shoulder, broken forearm and broken hand. She has underwent 1 surgery to fix the broken forearm and another for a tracheostomy. She recently had another surgery due to her feeding tube being placed in the wrong area which ended up filling her abdomen which resulted in another emergency surgery. She is currently in ICU in recovery and the doctors say she should be able to recover but that her recovery will be long. After she is cleared from the ICU she will then be moved to a different floor where she will need to stay until she is moved to an in-house facility where she gets 24/7 care that includes physical therapy, rehab and more.

At this time my mother is the only one who is able to stay with her everyday. These funds would go towards financial assistance including, hotel stays so she can stay close to her, food, laundry etc. It would also go towards any bills of my grandmas whether it be her medical bills, monthly bills and more.

We are aware that life is hard right now for everybody especially financially, so if you are not able to donate, prayers for my grandmas recovery is just as appreciated. We are so appreciative of everyone that has already prayed and/or helped in any way. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything.
