My name is Stephanie and on behalf of Robbie Dankyi I am bringing this page to life to support her in receiving aid to assist in caring for her mother, Linda Owusu.

Six years ago Linda was diagnosed with an aortic dissection; a tear in our bodies largest blood vessel. Until August of this year, it has been able to be medically managed with medications and close monitoring. Unfortunately, a recent decline in health and a new scan showed that this dissection has worsened and Linda’s most favorable outcome requires an extensive surgery called a TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair). Without this procedure Linda’s condition is severely life-threatening.

As you can imagine, procedures such as this one are extremely expensive. Robbie has sought out surgeons globally to find a medical facility with a team who is capable and confident in the care they could provide to her mother. Along with medical expenses that will be required to be paid primarily before the surgery can be scheduled, transportation and visa processes will need to be completed to get Linda to the appropriate destination to undergo her procedure.

Linda is a mom of 7 and lives in Kumasi, Ghana with her youngest children and is a key proponent to her community and church. She lost her husband three years ago abruptly and has borne the responsibility of raising her younger children by herself. She has also raised children that are not biologically hers and supported multiple families through hard times. She is well known for her compassion, generosity and love for all.
