Support Linda’s Fight Against Recurrent Cancer

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

We’re rallying around our beloved friend and former colleague, Linda, who is once again facing the unimaginable: a recurrence of cancer. After bravely overcoming it once, she now finds herself back in the fight—this time with even greater challenges ahead. Just before she retired in May 2025, she did not feel quite right. The devastating diagnosis began to seep back into her life in August.

Linda recently retired after years of dedicated civil service, hoping to enjoy a peaceful new chapter. She moved into an apartment, adopted two 8-week-old kittens, and was planning a fall trip to Tennessee. Instead, she’s navigating the emotional and physical toll of cancer while living alone and trying to be there for her son, who just turned 20. Her greatest wish is to stay strong and present for him—to be there for his milestones, his dreams, and the everyday moments that matter most.

But the financial strain is overwhelming. With limited retirement income and no longer working, the costs of treatment, travel to specialists, and daily living are mounting quickly.

• Living costs to support Linda and her son during this time
