Our family is reaching out with humble hearts to ask for support for my Grandma-in-law (Linda), a woman who truly embodies love, kindness, and strength. She lives in Florida while we are here in Minnesota, and even though we’re miles apart, our love and worry for her only grows stronger with each passing day.

She is a devoted mother, spouse, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She finds her greatest joy in the simple beautiful things: Florida sunshine, tending to her garden, and peaceful days spent on the water, cruising or fishing with the people she loves most.

Anyone who knows her can tell you that she has a way of lighting up a room. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering compassion have touched countless lives. She has spent her entire life caring for others and now she is the one who needs care, comfort, and support.

Recently, she received the heartbreaking diagnosis of Stage 2 Lung Cancer — the kind of news no one is ever truly prepared for. She has begun chemotherapy, meeting each treatment with remarkable courage and strength as the journey takes a painful toll on her body. Linda is a Waitress and on her feet which can be challenging. Some days, she pushes through work with every ounce of strength she has; other days, she is simply too fatigued to continue the day.

Her doctors call her a trooper, amazed by her determination, resilience, and fighting spirit, especially at her age. Through it all, she continues to give everything she has, fighting not only for her health but also to keep working, one challenging day at a time. She attends several doctor appointments and treatments but with these appointments comes missed work, and missed work causes a loss of income. Medical bills and everyday expenses continue to grow, creating a heavy financial burden during a time when she deserves to focus entirely on healing.

This GoFundMe was created to help lift that weight from her shoulders. Every contribution will help ease the worry caused by medical costs, lost income, and monthly necessities. Our deepest hope is that she can concentrate on resting, healing, and staying strong, without the constant fear of falling behind financially.
