On Sunday morning, March 29, 2026, the world changed for Linda Tierney and her family. While on vacation in Orlando with her son Michael, Linda suddenly collapsed on the bathroom floor of her hotel room. Michael rushed to help and called 911, and paramedics quickly transported Linda to the hospital. Frantic calls went out to family as confusion, fear, and uncertainty set in. At the initial hospital, a CT scan revealed a mass in Linda’s brain. Doctors immediately ordered her transfer to Orlando Regional Medical Center, a level 1 neuro trauma hospital, for further evaluation. An MRI confirmed the devastating news: Linda had a high-grade glioma, a fast-growing and aggressive brain tumor. Linda, her husband Joe, and sons Weston and Michael made the difficult decision to follow the doctor’s advice and proceed with surgery right away. The operation, scheduled for Friday, April 3, will involve opening Linda’s skull to access and reduce the tumor. While this type of cancer can never be fully removed, the goal is to sustain and prolong Linda’s quality of life. Even though Linda and her family have insurance, the cost of her care and recovery will be considerable. Medical bills, travel expenses, and the need for ongoing support will place a significant financial burden on the Tierney family. It’s with heavy hearts and hope for the future that we ask for your help. Any financial assistance you can offer, large or small, will make a meaningful difference for Linda and her loved ones. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.
