Hi, my name is Lawrence Thrall, and I'm fundraising to support my mom, Linda Lopez as she battles cancer. After 2 years of searching for a diagnosis my mom was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in February of this year, for which there is no cure. Her best hope is remission. Right now the doctors have had to stop chemotherapy because my mom has no immune system and is transfusion dependent.

I recently lost my tech job, and while I’m actively searching in and out of my field, it has made it incredibly difficult to keep up with the growing medical expenses and day-to-day utility bills. We’re not asking for help with the mortgage—just the essentials to keep the lights on, cover treatment and make sure she can focus on healing. My mom’s only income is Social Security. The expenses for doctor appointments, transportation, and treatment co-pays, etc. continue to accumulate.

We’re raising funds to help with the following:

• Hospitalization, Chemotherapy, transfusions, medications, and follow-up appointments

• Transportation

• Monthly utilities like electricity, water, and phone service

• Special dietary needs including protein drinks and electrolytes

• Cleaning supplies and masks

My mom has always been there for others. Now, I’m doing my best to be there for her—but we can’t do it alone. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward the aforementioned.

Donating to blood banks in my mom’s name is appreciated but donations to blood banks do not offset the medical expenses.
