It is with broken hearts that we share that in the early morning on Monday, June 16th, Kerry Garrett passed tragically and unexpectedly on his way to work. He is survived by his wife, Linda Garrett, his granddaughters Nicole Williams, Amanda Nieves, and Hayley Gabri, and has joined his mother, Sylvia, and granddaughter Valerie Simmons in heaven.

We are devastated beyond measure. Kerry showed up for every single person in his life without hesitation, and in ways that are bigger than he knew during his time on Earth with us. Husband, Grandpa, and father-figure were more than just titles. They are roles that he chose, and titles he wore with immense pride and joy.

Kerry was proud of his work as a Journeyman Carpenter. He was respected as a leader, a mentor, and a friend to his crew. Kerry spent decades working with his hands, building and overseeing projects with care and precision, constantly creating something to be proud of. His work truly spoke for itself.

This GoFundMe is organized on behalf of Kerry’s wife, Linda Garrett, to assist with funeral arrangements and to preserve his memory in a way that reflects the life he lived and the love he gave.
