Support for Linda Castaneda: Fighting Bile Duct Cancer

On behalf of our entire family and our mother Linda we are reaching out to ask for your support. Linda is 74 years old and lives in a small town in New Mexico. In August of 2024, she was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma of Ampulla of Vater, a rare and aggressive form of bile duct cancer. Since her diagnosis, Linda has been preparing for surgery, but the date has been pushed back multiple times due to reasons outside of her control, with the most recent delay setting it for mid-October. As we all know, cancer is not something that can wait.

Linda is the heart of our family. A devoted mother to three grown children, a grandmother of three, a loving sister, wife, friend, and a beloved member of her community. She has spent her entire life caring for others, and now it’s time for us to care for her.

Because of the rarity of this cancer, Linda has had to seek treatment outside of her small town, which comes with significant costs for travel, hotels, and accommodations. Her children are spread across different states, making it difficult to be by her side as much as they would like. Alongside conventional treatment, Linda is also exploring alternative therapies, as her goal is to keep fighting and make as many beautiful memories as possible with her family.
