Memory. Identity. Emotional landmarks (aka) visual landmarks. Legacy. Documenting life through photos, objects, new compositions of old stories, sustaining memories, a record of myself for those who will live beyond me, framing a piece of time for what makes it forever, preserving, bringing back a loved one so they exist for a moment, a series of moments, when I feel traces of them present, as if I can still touch them, the objects, their skin, and traces of their touch, their smell, their voice.
I am Linda Till Bradley. Human. Artist. Mother. Wife. Friend. Daughter. Educator. Hospice Expressive Arts Therapist. Grieving Children. Grieving Adults. We Live. We Die. No matter how we choose to handle death, we need help to make sense of this bittersweet life. My book lives and breathes in sorrow and joy, searching how to hold memories, how to leave them behind for our loved ones, and prepare ourselves to let go of the life we have lived and loved. I hope you can join me on this journey.
My first photo-essay book is in process. I am working with a team of professionals (writer, editor, graphic artist, marketing specialist), and hope to have it finished, with your support, by the end of this year. For now, I'm calling it SWAN SONG: Passing It On . . . and your ideas are welcome.
