Tis the season—we are supposed to be feeling jolly, but that can be most difficult with all that is happening in the world and everyone trying to find some sense of normalcy in such a challenging time.

For the animals, this is the biggest crisis in history, with escalating cruelty, abandonment, and pet overpopulation.

Many of you have been following my work over the last 40 years in animal welfare, uniting my television movie Born Innocent with the reality that both children and animals are born innocent—and they need our help.

To my Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation family, thank you so much for supporting and following my work. I warmly welcome all new followers, and I thank you for helping support our efforts to end animal cruelty and pet overpopulation—not just in this country, but around the world.

We continue to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for companion dogs taken in through the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation.

Your donations—needed on an ongoing basis—help provide healthy food, housing, medical care, cookies and treats, so these dogs continue to feel loved and special while they heal and wait for their forever, loving homes.

We recently rescued many abandoned dogs from the desert: a Shepherd mom and her 10 newborn puppies; three of her feral eight-month-old puppies; nine Chihuahuas; and one Pit Bull mama with her 3–8-week-old puppies. There were significant medical costs involved, veterinary care required, and we had to quickly secure housing.

All of these efforts cost money. We are asking for your help to support these abandoned desert dogs, along with five other recent shelter dog rescues who were on their last day before euthanasia. They are the lucky ones—they are now safe and sound—but we still need your help. Donations provide medical care, vaccinations, microchips, spay and neuter services, and, of course, proper food, treats, and toys.

My foundation currently has over 100 dogs in our rescue, and we provide for their daily needs. It is extremely expensive, heartbreaking, and emotionally exhausting to bring joy to their lives. I can promise you that everyone involved in rescue is completely exhausted and traumatized by the current animal welfare crisis—and by the reality that callous human behavior is solely behind this cruelty.

I may not check in every day because we are working tirelessly and are often exhausted, making it difficult to provide daily updates. Please know that you can visit our social media pages to see many videos and posts documenting our work.
