My name is Beth Tramontano. I'm looking to raise funds for a friend of 34 years, Linda Ghiroli, and her husband, Tom. On Saturday, 1/31/2026, a devastating fire took their home and all their belongings. Thankfully, their neighbors alerted them to the fire, and no one was injured. Unfortunately, they did lose their cat, Ellie. To add to all of this, Tom, a Vietnam Veteran, is courageously battling cancer. Throughout Tom's illness, Linda is by his side while working full-time. But this fire has impacted their lives in every way.

Neither one of them would ever ask for help, yet they are the first to offer it. I am hoping to raise these funds to provide a bridge for Linda and Tom. This will help with their short-term financial needs such as housing, clothing, medications, and replacing everyday necessities so they can focus on healing and rebuilding.

We also want to thank the Branford Fire Dept and Guilford Fire Dept for their amazing hard work and kindness. We are so grateful for the work they do every day, but especially on Saturday. Battling a huge fire in bitter cold temperatures and icy conditions is another level of bravery.
