This is my father-in-law. His name is Otis Sanders, better known as OT. He has been hospitalized for over a month now. The hospital is doing everything they can to get him approved for a heart transplant! My mother-in-law, Linda Sanders, was terminated from her job because of all the time she was having to take off due to his health. The boss's exact words, and I quote, were "this means you are choosing your husband over your job." She has filed for unemployment to try to help cover the bills at home. She is currently waiting for an answer from them. They applied for rental assistance, and because the job didn't fill out the paperwork correctly, she was denied. They have until Monday to come up with at least part of their rent so the office doesn't have to go through with an eviction. The owner of the complex is doing everything she can to work with my in-laws to ensure this doesn't happen. They aren't asking for a handout, just a hand up. Before OT's health declined, he was the very best shade tree mechanic. Once his health started to decline, he was no longer able to do the odd jobs that made ends meet. These are some of the best people I know, and they absolutely do not like asking for help. Please, if you can help keep them in their home, it would be greatly appreciated!
