Hello, my name is Shae. I am starting this GoFundMe for a linda the sweet lady who has gone through some unfortunate events recently. As some of you may have seen on the news, there was a car fire in Seekonk. She is 70 years old and shouldn’t have to be dealing with this. Nobody should. She was living in her car with her 6 cats after the recent passing of her husband. She was sleeping when the fire started, and I happened to be in the parking lot when it happened. Me, my mom, and a few other amazing people helped her that night by going into Walmart and getting a few essentials for her. She had no shoes no jacket, I gave her the shoes I was wearing and a blanket I had in my trunk. I gave her my phone number that night and she reached out a couple days later and we have been talking since. Her ex-husband came and picked her and the cats up, and she has been staying with him, but due to unforeseen circumstances, she cannot stay there any longer. She gave two of the cats to the animal shelter so they could be adopted. She still has 4 cats. She has asked me to help her create this GoFundMe so she can try to get back on her feet. She has reached out to a few homeless shelters, but they are full. Motels/hotels won’t take the cats, and if they do take cats, they are $35 per cat. She lost everything in the car fire, including the $3000 she had saved for an apartment. The cats mean everything to her. She is looking to raise money so she can afford a cheap car and start to get back into her groove of things. Nothing is too little and EVERYTHING is appreciated.
