Linda has been my neighbor for over two decades, and I’ve known her since I was a child. I started cutting her grass when I was 12, and now, at 35, I still look out for her. Last night, Linda’s husband of 53 years passed away unexpectedly, leaving her absolutely shattered. She’s facing the unimaginable—coping with grief while also worrying about how she’ll pay for funeral arrangements and keep up with her bills.

Linda has always been a kind and caring presence in our neighborhood. She’s the type of person who checks in on others and never hesitates to lend a hand. Now, she’s struggling to find her footing after such a tremendous loss.
