Support Lincoln's Fight Against Cancer

Hi - I am Grandma to the sweetest boy in the world who is currently fighting cancer. We are raising funds to support the family while they go through the treatments for the next 10+ months. His Mama will likely need to be off of work for much of the time so they will be living off of only one income while incurring all the expenses of traveling back and forth to Mayo over the next year as well as what insurance doesn't cover. On Thursday August 15th, I had noticed that Lincoln had some wax in his ear and picked it out. Shortly after his ear started bleeding. He only seemed to be bothered by this when it was touched.

He went to daycare on Friday August 16th but they stated it seemed to be bothering him more so we took him to the pediatrician. They stated that his middle ear had ruptured and he would need oral antibiotics and ear drops. The doctor stated that if he wasn't showing signs of improvement to come back on Monday.

Monday August 19th, we went back to the doctor who called to get an emergency ENT appointment for Tuesday August 20th.

August 20th, Lincoln went into surgery to debride his ear. In there they found a "polypoid" (mass due to the irritation of infection). The surgeon collected some for pathology to be tested.

On Thursday August 22nd, we got the call from Lincolns surgeon that his pathology came back positive for "embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma" a soft tissue cancer.

We immediately got set up with pediatric oncology at Mayo Rochester on Friday August 23rd.

On Tuesday August 27th, Lincoln got CT scans done of his head and chest. On Thursday August 29th, Lincoln got a full body PET scan, MRI of his head, and a hearing test.

We met with his oncologist on the 29th who informed us that his cancer has not spread past the ear. We are waiting to hear from the "tumor board" on the best plan of action to treat Lincolns cancer.
