I’ve never done anything like this before, but I’m really hoping some animal lovers in the community are willing to help me and my kitty recover - During this emotionally but especially financially traumatic breakup I’ve just had, I’ve also had to bring in my precious 2-year-old tabby cat Lincoln into emergency surgery twice in the last month. The surgeries plus surrounding expenses totaled $4,979 all out of my pocket.

The first time was when I discovered he had swallowed a bunch of fishing line - they had to cut open his abdomen to remove it and save him. It was a really intense surgery, as the fishing line went all the way through his body. I was thankfully able to get this surgery done at a more affordable clinic since this was during the work week, but it still totaled to $2,739.

The following 10 days, he seemed to be recovering okay - but on august 23rd I noticed his recovery suit soaked with dried blood and when I looked underneath, I discovered his sutures had opened up and there was a gaping wound. This happened on a Saturday so my only option was an emergency surgery clinic, which are not affordable at all - but I had to do whatever it took to save him. They were able to explore the wound to make sure it didn’t go into his abdomen, then they sutured him back up. This surgery cost me $2,240.

I normally would NEVER ask my friends or the public for financial assistance, that makes me really uncomfortable. But I had to do everything it took to save my baby despite any cost, and unfortunately that racked up to be quite a lot.

I am in the middle of moving so things are very expensive and stressful for me right now - so really, any small amount towards helping me fill the financial hole this has left is so helpful.
