Hi Friends!

Our girl, Lina, needs our support more than ever! On September 5th, she went into the ER for an infected hernia and was immediately transported to a special cancer care unit in San Antonio where they found a 9-inch mass and informed her that she has ovarian cancer. She has since undergone surgery and received a full hysterectomy and, after receiving the test results, discovered she is stage 3 and will need to undergo chemotherapy treatment. This is a rare cancer that only 5% of ovarian cancer patients get.

To make matters worse, Lina does not have insurance and the funding the hospital typically has for situations like hers is only for people who live in San Antonio (which Lina does not). She has applied for Medicare, but it is a process, especially with the government being shut down.

She needs to start treatment immediately, so I started this GoFundMe to help with her medical expenses. Any amount you can give makes a difference!

Lina is one of the toughest people I know and, with the support of her family and friends, I know she is going to beat this. So let's come together to help her kick cancer's ass!
