LIMWA (Libraries and Masaajids for West Africa) is a non-profit, community-driven organization dedicated to uplifting lives through education, clean water, and spiritual development. First founded in Sierra Leone, LIMWA has since expanded its efforts across Guinea, Liberia, Benin, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and more, transforming communities through charity and empowerment.

Our Mission

LIMWA began by distributing Islamic books and Qur’ans, but our work has grown far beyond that. Today, your generous donations help us:

Project to Be Funded in This Donation Round

One of our key initiatives is providing a safe and serene environment for students to memorize the Qur'an at Markaz Fawzia & Muhammad in Kailahun, Sierra Leone.

Established in 2020, this center began with 12 orphan students and has now grown to accommodate 19 orphans, who are provided with housing and meals at the center. Additionally, 25 more students attend Qur'an classes daily and return home.

However, limited resources make it difficult to meet the needs of all students. LIMWA is 100% donation-funded.
