Help Us Support Limbert’s Recovery After Tragic Attack
Dear Friends, Family and Kind Supporters,
We are reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during an incredibly difficult time for our family.
On April 14th, 2024, our beloved Limbert a devoted son, father, husband, brother and grandfather, pillar of our community—made a split second decision that any parent would make. Limbert was brutally attacked by a group of strangers while trying to defend his son-who was being targeted by those individuals. In an act of pure courage and love, Limbert stepped in to protect his son. Tragically, those individuals turned on Limbert and beat him repeatedly in the head, causing severe brain damage that has left him in a coma ever since.
As the head of our household, he has always been our strength—working tirelessly to provide, support, and care for his family.
Before this tragic day, Limbert was full of life. He was the kind person who lit up every room with his laughter and love. He loved playing soccer, spending weekends with family, and firing up the grill for one of his famous BBQs. He was a proud fan of “The Strongest”, his favorite soccer team and never missed the opportunity to cheer them on each soccer game. Music was a big part of his soul-he was always singing along to Duran Duran, Def Leppard or Soda Stereo, his all-time favorite bands. Dependable friend always first to lend a hand—whether fixing a neighbor’s leaky faucet or organizing food drives. The best brother anyone can have, always there when needed.
One of his greatest passions was his participation in the “Carnaval de Oruro” where he danced proudly with his fraternity “Reyes Morenos Ferrari Guezzi”, for nearly 18 consecutive years. It was more than a tradition to him-it was a deep expression of culture, identity, joy and deep faith.
Since that devasting day, Limbert’s wife, Veronica, has not left his side-caring him around the clock, attending every hospital visit, managing his therapies, and doing everything in her power to hold the family together during this unimaginable time.
As you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. Medical expenses, therapy costs, transportation, and daily needs are quickly adding up. With Limbert being the sole provider before the attack, our family is struggling to manage even the basics.
We are humbly asking for donations, no matter the size, to help cover hospital bills, therapy, and daily expenses so that Limbert’s wife, Veronica, can continue to care for him without bearing this burden alone.
If you can’t help, please share this with others who may be willing to help. Your kindness, prayers, and generosity mean the world to us.
Limbert fought to protect his son. Let’s fight now to give him the chance to wake up, heal, and come home.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, generosity, and love.
With gratitude,
