Lisa and Art Sola here . . . This is our Lilly Bell. We had our exterminator come in but they didn't lock the gate properly but put the trash cans back in place. Later when we let the dogs out to go potty before heading out for the evening. When we went to let the dogs back in Lilly Bell was nowhere to be found. We immediately set out in all directions trying to find our girl. An hour later we were posting on Next Door when a post showed up about a hit and run and a picture of our girl. We immediately raced over, when we got to her she stood up on 3 legs and was skittish. With help of Good Samaritans we got her into the car and went straight to an emergency vet.

They did the exam and took x-rays and found that her elbow is dislocated and broken and told us she would need orthopedic surgery and that it would be expensive. They also said that they couldn't wrap it or do anything to help it while we worked to get a orthopedic vet appointment. Then told us that the only other options were to amputate her leg (less expensive), or to put her down. This news is crushing my heart, she is only 2 1/2 and an amazing and vibrant girl.

We were able to make an appointment for the orthopedics doctor for this coming Wednesday. Her leg has swollen and we are icing it per the vet's instructions. At the of writing this they are saying we may need to raise around $15,000 to cover the surgery. Please, we are asking for any help we can get to save our girl. Please share this link.
